Origine

For nearly 40 years, Péna Paysages has been designing urban and landscape developments in France and abroad. Founded in Paris by Christine and Michel Péna, the agency has evolved under several names: Parages in 1983 with François Brun, Atelier de l’Entre Deux in 1995, Pena & Pena in 2002, before becoming Péna Paysages in 2011.

The creation of the Jardin Atlantique above the Montparnasse train station in Paris in 1995 quickly brought the agency into the spotlight. Since then, it has delivered numerous landmark projects, either independently or in collaboration with renowned architects and urban planners: tramway developments in Paris, Promenade du Paillon in Nice, the central lawns of the Auteuil racetrack, downtown Vincennes, VDNH Park in Moscow, and the city center of Montrouge, among others.

In 2018, the agency was taken over by landscape architect Ghislain de Larouzière (DPLG), who was joined in 2019 by Patrick Bouchardon as partner. Today, Péna Paysages is composed of around ten team members — landscape architects and engineers — and continues to grow with the support of Michel Péna, writing a new chapter in its distinguished history.
