There is a unique landscape vocabulary in Biarritz, based on great celebratory eff ects, sublimation of the ocean. The walkways cling to the fragile cliff s, niches are arranged,  vertiginous balconies open on the horizon … It is from this «landscape syntax» that we have reinvested the Basques Coast, one of the most «dramatic» places - in the theatrical sense - on the entire Basques coast.
The project concerns as much the cliff  of the coast of the Basques as the requalifi cation of accesses and walkways. From the old harbour to the surffers beach once crowded with cars, a new pedestrian path com-posed with natural stone paving and planted with specific local trees, offers a natural balconie on the ocean. The plant procession was designed according to the salinity of the air and was tested using test boards.
The project will continue with the creation of a grassed beach and the renaturation of the crumbly cliffs of the Basques Coast.
