The Paillon is a river running through Nice City and flows into the sea in the Bay of Angels. During a long time the river was perceived as an urban and spatial break before it was recovered by a concrete slab at the begining of the century.
Nice  wanted to requalify the surface material of the slab cluttered with equipements. Winner of the competition in 2008, our project aims to create a new green stripe in the heart of the city by revealing the existance of the forgotten stream.
Two riverside vegetation are symbolized on both side of a large grass carpet equipped with recreation areas. A long stone ribbon reminds the flow of the river and constitues the main promenade. Pavilions are connected all along the promenade and off ers oudoor lounges. Nearby Des pavillons sont accostés le long de la promenade et proposent des salons d’extérieurs. On the outskirts of the Massena square, a huge water mirror ends the promenade. An extraodinary refreshing place of animation where everybody meets. Thanks to the magic of the mediterraneen climate, this garden invites us to abotannic trip across the continents.
